ALL children love the playground. They will be chasing each other on. It's a great learning place where kids interact with their peers, develop social skills and build physical strength. But the question is whether the playground is safe for them or not?
I chose this article because I saw many children are interested with the playgrounds, but when playing, they can get hurt. This article tells about the injuries sustained by children playing in playground. 10 per cent suffer from strike and impact, like getting hit by the swing and 1.5 per cent from entanglement, especially when play with the area that has ropes. Furthermore, 66 per cent of injuries resulted from the monkey bars. The ratio of playground-related injury in boys and girls is 2:1 with those aged 5 to 9 being most susceptible. Parents also do not take seriously when their children play in the playground.
I like this article because it gives us awareness of the importance of meditating children to play because not all those places is safe. Playground not designed according to height and age so we should not be careless with it. We are the person who makes playground is safe because we care about their safety and we do not want to see them hurt.
